Mawaqif new parking areas

Mawaqif introduce new parking areas in Abu Dhabi starting 30 January.
Yesterday, paid parking was extended to encompass areas between Airport Road and Baniyas (Najda) Street, and between Hamdan Street and Sheikh Zayed the Second (Electra) Street. Mawaqif now covers most of the capital’s old souq area.

It was rolled out on a Saturday, one of the busiest days for shop owners, and many residents and customers claimed they had not been notified of the change, nor were they sure how the system worked. All of which put drivers at risk of a Dh200 fine.

'Lavender' taxi service for women to start in Abu Dhabi

A fleet of 70 pink-and-lavender taxis exclusively for women and children will be on the streets by the end of March.

The taxis will be driven by women and feature pink roof lights and purple-shaded logos, TransAD, the emirate’s taxi regulator, announced yesterday. The regulator also said it would introduce new meter technology that automatically fines drivers who speed or ignore pick-up requests sent out by its call centre.

Saaed accidant fees

Is it true that they reduced the amount of Saaed from 500AED to 300AED?
As I have been told that they applied it starting this year, also a 50AED will be charged to get a report and diagram in accidents caused by unknown persons.
