Free parking in Abu Dhabi for National Day holidays

Parking in the capital will be free from Tuesday to Friday during the National Day holidays.

On its Twitter account, Mawaqif said: “Dear followers, parking is free of charge during the official public holiday from Tuesday Dec 1 to Friday Dec 4, 2015 #AbuDhabi.”

Next year, Four Seasons is set to open its luxurious hotel in the heart of Abu Dhabi.

UAE's new petrol prices from today

Last week the Ministry of Energy announced deregulation of fuel prices in the UAE, a new prices of petrol and diesel in the country will take effect today.

Starting 1st of August, 95 octane petrol (special grade) across fuel stations in the UAE will cost Dh2.14 per liter, up 24.4 per cent from the Dh1.72 per litre that we used to pay.

Abu Dhabi Police seize vehicles over safety violations.
Motorists pushing the envelope with worn or balding tyres on their vehicles pay heed.
Increased inspections to nab motorists using faulty tyres are yielding results, Abu Dhabi Police said in a statement on Friday.
Traffic and Patrols Directorate staff at Abu Dhabi Police said thousands of vehicles have been confiscated when found with tyres with little tread.
