Hi All,
I am a Pakistani citizen and I've got a job in a company in Abu Dhabi. I have submitted all the required documents for the job and now waiting for Security Clearance and Visa. It has been 4 weeks when I accepted offer and submitted docs for visa. As per my last conversation with employer, they told me that security clearance is in progress. I want to know how much time it would take to get the security clearance and Visa.
If anyone of you guys have any idea, kindly help me
Warm Regards,

Abu Dhabi Govt Approval

jawads167's picture

I guess it is now getting a bit more complicated - especially in my case. I had a offer from one of ADNOC group of companies - accepted the preliminary offer and submitted all the relevant documentations for Govt. approval back in Feb 2016. However, my understanding from the HR is that due to the current oil crisis in the world, my role (not just mine but lots of others in the same situation) will be put on hold for unforeseen time. Doesn't look very promising - however, it is not a clear cut NO but there is also no guarantee that this process will go ahead.
Good luck to all those who are near completion and looks like it is all the game of patience and keeping an eye on what is happening around in the world.

Oh well ...

I think even if the positions are revived in June - that would be great. Hopefully it will not die down.
Also once the positions are reactivated - would they contact the selected individuals or a fresh recruitment will kick off? No sure how this whole situation will pan out.

waiting4ever's picture

I found this news announced recently, find the link: http://www.arabianbusiness.com/abu-dhabi-s-adnoc-cutting-5-000-jobs-repo...

Would like to know if this decision will impact those who already have received offer letter. Who works in AD or know the outcome please share some news. This would help who are waiting for a job approval. HR is very quite and does not share any updates :(
