Urgent Advice Stage 2: Between Acceptance and Contract

Assalamualaikum and Greetings to everyone.
Also thank you to everyone especially Ebdoosh enlightening us with your experience and advice.
Anyway, I had recently participated in the grand Interview exercise held by ADCO in ADNEC Abu Dhabi, and Alhamdulillah after a lengthy interview, I was offered a job with them along with many others. We went for medical test on the same day and a blood / urine test on the following day. Overall, the session was pretty organized and ADCO and their employment agents made quite an impression.
Now, what happens next? Just today, I was asked by my agent to attest my UK degree with the UAE Embassy in my country (Malaysia). Now, that sounds easier than it actually is. Upon checking with the respective embassies,
(1) The UAE Embassy in Kuala Lumpur told me that they DO NOT attest / certify degree / certificates which have been obtained outside of MALAYSIA. They suggested that I contact the UK Embassy, or go to the UAE Embassy in UK for attestation. Upon checking with the website, going to UK for attestation will not be short process, +/- 5 weeks???
(2) The UK Embassy in Kuala Lumpur told me that they too DO NOT attest / certify degree / certificates, even if they are obtained in UK. They suggested that I obtain a Certified True Copy (CTC) from a Notary Republic / Commissioner of Oath, then get the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to endorse the CTC (not the certificate), and finally get the UK Embassy in Kuala Lumpur to endorse the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affair’s endorsement.
I have reverted the information to my agent. Any advice from those who have done it before?

I think option 2 is the way to go. Look at below link on similar discussion :

Thanks for the pointer, Ebdoosh.

I'm from India, and one of the participants in the ADCO ADNEC job fair. I was informed by the agent to get the attestation for the educational degree. I googled and found a agency (UROGULF) which is 'specialised' in attestation. They charge me AED 736 (Rs. 10000), just for one certificate! It takes 20 to 30 days to process. The process is as follows:

1. Attest from the state government secretriat (called HRD attestation) that confirms the degree's authenticity.

2. MEA attestation - Attest from Ministry of External Affairs.

3. Attest from UAE embassy.

The process / steps may vary for different countries. Like to hear from other ADCO potential employees...

Thank you Ebdoosh and ChenBI.

Yes, I was also at the ADNEC in mid October. As of today, I have managed to follow through option 2 in an entire day. However, it seems that the effort was useless. The agent has just told me to look for an attestation agent who can provide such services for UK Certificates. I have not found any yet.
Additionally, a friend of mine who graduated from USA was told to contact clearinghouse.org followed by MACEE. Another link in expatforum.com had some leads but the solution is unclear.

I understand the frustration, Ams. Hope you get it resolved soon.

For me, the case is straight forward as it is a local degree.

Attestation ...get it here

mrusdi66's picture

ams8800, I have done mine with this agency. It cost me GPB201 pounds. here is the link. http://www.apostille.biz/uae-embassy-legalisation. Just send the email to info@apostille.biz and you will recieve response very fast. Just follow the instruction. In fact you just need to scan the degree and send to them via email. No need to send original degree. What they do fist is to get the scan copy certified tru copy by the agent's solicitor. Then they will bring the document to get certified at FCO (foreign commonwealth office) which will take about 3-5 days. Then they will take to UAE embassy which will take another 5-10 days. So, pls expect to receive the attestation by 2 weeks to one month.

Attesttation Success

ams8800's picture

Assalamualaikum Mr Rusdi (mrusdi66),
Thank you and Alhamdulillah, following your advice and today, within 7 working days from the point of payment, I have received the attested documents and resent to the employment agent. I had also sent my inquiry to several agents in UK, Malaysia and even India. I must say that http://www.apostille.biz has the lowest risk and reasonably priced too.
So what next? Any advice?

Alhamdulillah, Wonderful news, after less than 2 months from the interview and 1 month from submission of attested documents, I have received response from ADCO HR stating Security Clearance and Medically Fit. I am now requested to submit other information in ADCO's career website.

@Davidfire, I submitted the forms just after the interviews at ADNEC. But since I didn't have my degree attested then, I only sent them my attested degree last week... I hope this wont gonna delay or impact the visa or SC process... I am from Peshawar PAkistan.

davidfire's picture

@Shahjan I emailed a scanned copy of my attested cert to my recruitment company before I sent the original through the post. The recruiter said they didn't need the original sending for visa and security and I should just give it to ADCO when I join. I hope this is ok and it doesn't mean it will get a regrected visa?

Multiple jobs in Adnoc

preacher's picture

I got an offer from ADCO after their Oct 2013 campaign and now I am in the security clearance stage. Meanwhile I got an offer from Takreer also after an interview I had attended earlier. Now if Takreer also simultaneously go for security clearance, will it create any problem. I know that only one company will get visa but my question is regarding security clearance. Can somebody find time to answer this.
