Moving to Abu Dhabi

eddy dahbi's picture

I am going to accept a position with a well known construction company, the offer is

2 bed appartment with all utillities paid

Car with fuel card

salary is approx 33,000 dirhams a month

they will give me 21,000 dirhams for flights a year

there is a bonus tied in yearly

i'm not paticularly worried about the deal I think it a good deal, I'm just worried that, because myself and my partner are not married this may be a problem, her getting a job won't be an issue but i'm just apprhensive, we are engaged and do plan on getting married just not yet.

any advice will be appreciated.

Job offer

 Kiwi 's picture

Hi everyone,

Great site, i have found the topics and comments very informative.
I have been offered a job in Abu Ahubi with a large retail business and will .

I will be reloacting with my wife and 18 month son. I'm a New Zealander and wife is English

I am looking to find a 2-3 bedroom villa in a expat family friendly area with day-care/pre-school available closeby. Looking to budget 130000 - 160000 AED for rent. Will this be enough for what i'm looking
for?

Are there any expat property letting/renting agencies recommended?
would like to have idea of day-care costs monthly?
Time frames around getting water/power/internet connected?
Any rugby clubs, expat teams in or around the city?

Would be greatful for any help

Thanks Chris.............
