As part of its commitment to public welfare, the Department of Transport (DoT) has decided to exempt vehicle owners from parking fee for 45 minutes starting from the time of Adhan (Call for prayer).

The exemption will apply to parking lots in the vicinity of all mosques that situate in the Mawaqif areas in Abu Dhabi city, according to a statement by DoT.

DoT urged the people not to park their vehicles violating the rules or blocking the fire hoses and at parking slots designated to people with special needs.

The obligatory Muslim prayers fall at daybreak, noon, afternoon, sunset and early night.
