UFC 112 – Abu Dhabi

Flash Entertainment & the Ultimate Fighting Championship will be bringing the live UFC experience to Abu Dhabi and the Middle East for the very first time on 10 April 2010.

UFC 112 will see the biggest fight card ever put together outside of North America, and one of the most significant in UFC history, all staged in the very first open air UFC arena on Yas Island. It will be a historic night as the world’s greatest indoor mixed martial arts sporting event goes outdoors for the first time in its history.

Topped by a double main event, two UFC world titles will be on the line at UFC 112. First, UFC lightweight champion BJ ‘The Prodigy’ Penn puts his belt on the line against No.1 contender Frankie ‘The Answer’ Edgar. Then UFC middleweight king Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva defends his crown against fellow Brazilian striker, Vitor ‘The Phenom’ Belfort.

As well as two fascinating UFC title clashes, the UFC’s first venture into the Middle East region will also showcase an intriguing battle of legends as UFC icon Matt Hughes locks horns with MMA pioneer and Brazilian jiu-jitsu legend Renzo Gracie at welterweight.

Tickets for the event will be released within the next 10 days, for what will be one of the biggest nights of the year in Abu Dhabi.
